Students participate in structured, instructor-led group classes designed to support self-awareness, executive functioning, and healthy lifestyle habits that contribute to focus, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
Through guided discussion, age-appropriate instruction, and weekly reflection, students explore how daily habits and routines influence learning readiness, attention, and emotional resilience.
Students will:
Examine how daily routines, nutrition, sleep, movement, and environment impact focus and mental clarity
Identify practical, age-appropriate strategies that support mind-body health
Design, implement, and adjust personalized lifestyle habit experiments using a structured, educational framework
Develop language and skills for recognizing internal states such as focus, stress, and overwhelm
Practice goal-setting, self-monitoring, and reflection in a supportive group setting
Build confidence by sharing progress and learning collaboratively with peers
The course is organized around weekly, skill-based lifestyle experiments that allow students to observe cause-and-effect relationships between habits and learning readiness.
Instruction emphasizes:
Skill development (not therapy or treatment)
Student choice and self-reflection
Peer learning and encouragement
Adaptability and problem-solving
All activities are educational in nature and focus on transferable life skills.
One 60-minute live online session per week
Available days/times: Mondays and Fridays at 1:00pm or 2:00pm
Small groups (4–12 students) to support participation and discussion
Cohorts may be organized by age group (middle school or high school)
Each session includes a planned lesson, guided discussion, and student Q&A
This interactive group cohort is designed for students who want to better understand how daily habits, routines, and environments influence focus, learning readiness, and overall well-being.
Students are introduced to evidence-informed principles related to nutrition, sleep, scheduling, screen use, movement, sensory input, relationships, and daily activities, and how these factors support brain function and academic engagement. Instruction emphasizes observation, reflection, and practical application rather than prescriptive outcomes.
Through guided activities and discussion, students explore non-clinical, natural strategies for supporting attention, emotional balance, and self-regulation in everyday settings. The group format encourages peer learning, shared problem-solving, and a positive sense of community.
As students build self-awareness, they develop greater confidence in self-management skills, including recognizing their personal capacity for focus and participation, communicating needs appropriately, and setting realistic goals. These skills support long-term academic success, interpersonal effectiveness, and personal growth.
